Grants

The District has sought and gained several grants and donations throughout the 2005-2006 school year. The following are in addition to annual parent club and service club contributions:

  • Washington Mutual Grant - $10,000 for Staff Development of Differential Instruction called "Structures and Strategies"
  • Toyota Grant - $10,000 for elementary science program called "Passport to Science"
  • British Petroleum Grant - $10,000 for elementary science program. Provided training for 5th-6th grade underachieving students to become "teachers" to 1st-2nd grade students in science.
  • AMGEN Grant - $10,000 for elementary science program. ($5000 for program, $5000 for Anne Marie Bergen's personal use.)
  • Oakdale Board of Realtors - $1500 to support Challenge Days for OHS and OJHS as part of The Power of One
  • Oakdale Rotary - $10,000 for Sierra View library
  • Oakdale Sunrise Rotary - $6,000 for Sierra View sign and $7,000 for K-8 music program.
  • Oakdale Educational Foundation - $3700 for Power of One and many $500-$1000 grants to teachers.
